The Kid Zone Event: AT THE HOUSTON ART CAR PARADE

The Orange Show’s Art Car Parade is the most family friendly and largest attended FREE event of the year, and their Kids Creative Zone is a huge part of that. In the past they have partnered with a selection of non-profit, community driven organizations and small businesses in the fields of the arts, performance, health, and education to enrich the experience for the children and families attending the Art Car Parade. The Kids Zone has always been a home base where parents can take a breather and allow the littles to explore and enjoy a world of creativity.

1. Date: 4/15/23
2. Location: Sam Houston Park 1000 Bagby St, Houston, TX 77002
3. Dress Code: A black or white t-shirt or a Choose to DO, Inc. t-shirt that can be purchased at http://choosetodoinc.org, jeans or pants and closed toed shoes. (NO EXCEPTION)
4. **Volunteers must stay for the whole shift.**
5. Shift 1: 
   1. Arrive at 8:30 a.m. to assist with set up and to receive instructions. 
   2. Duties:
      1. Share information about Choose to DO, Inc.
      2. Help recruit volunteers and donors.
      3. Pass out merch.
6. Shift 2: 
   1. Arrive at 12:45 p.m. to receive instructions.
   2. Assist with takedown at 4:30 p.m.
   3. Duties:
      1. Share information about Choose to DO, Inc.
      2. Help recruit volunteers and donors.
      3. Pass out merch.
7. Notes:
   1. Bring your own water bottle
   2. Have your phone charged. Power isn’t guaranteed.
