I loved everything about this experience, but mainly I enjoyed the challenges that came with expanding the organization. I have learned so much about grant writing, writing policies, creating workflow processes, research, planning networking events, etc.

Because being happy with the work I am doing is important for my professional development and self-confidence. I believe the skills I am learning here will make me a valuable team member in any future career endeavor.

Honestly, I really enjoyed my experiences. I was able to learn a lot about marketing and the environment was very friendly. I was able to make friendships and help do things I haven’t done before.

I see this opportunity as a way to contribute to an exciting company and I feel that my skills are particularly well-suited to this position. I feel a sense of belonging and like the people I work with and I have achieved to develop and grown personally.

At the beginning I felt scared to express my ideas and show myself in social media (TikTok). But honestly I started to enjoy it. It was so helpful to see how people decided to volunteer, to donate. I loved to meet with the marketing team and discuss ideas for events.

I loved participating in programs and seeing the impact that these programs have on youth in real time.

Our meetings were definitely very productive. Everyone went through their assignments, the things they were working on, etc., and we were all kept up to date on each other’s roles. Whenever I asked for assistance or help, I was also always able to receive it almost immediately from the other interns. I feel as though my time was used very effectively because I always used the time to make calls, do research, increase recruitment, etc.

What I liked about being a member of CTDI was the diversity. I’ve never been in a position where I worked with multiple people in different areas. So I enjoyed that. It was meaningful to me because it shows diversity.

I loved being a part of Choose to DO, Inc. because it gave me opportunities to meet different people from various backgrounds. This was meaningful to me because we got to share stories from our lives and experiences that we encountered.
